Anyway, enough with the reading material...on with the cuteness!

ser·en·dip·i·ty/ˌserənˈdipitē/Noun: The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. During our 3 years of "trying" to start a family I would get notices that someone we know was blessed with a pregnancy, a "happy accident" which by the way is synonymous with my all time favorite word~SERENDIPITY. Now I know that there are no Happy Accidents, rather God's hand is on each and every one of us creating amazing opportunities each and every day.

She is absolutely adorable. I am with you on eliminating the GMOs from our diets. Have you tried making your own pasta sauce? It us much easier than I ever imagined, and the stuff you can make on your own has much better nutritional stats than even the organic jarred pasta sauce. If you google "Biggest Loser Marinara Sauce", that recipe turns out really well, and after you sweat the onions and garlic, the whole recipe (or double it!) can be thrown in a crock pot, cook on low all day, and you'll even have some to freeze for another day!
ReplyDeleteI'll check out the recipe. I've occasionally made my own sauce but have a hard time finding jarred tomatoes and sauce. I'm trying to avoid the BPA lining in canned food products. If you have recommendations on sources for those items I'd greatly appreciate it!!! (and yes, I'm a little neurotic...ok, more than a little...)
DeleteOMG! She is adorable! I can't believe that she is one. I have been reading your blog since you were pregnant with her. The time has flown by. I totally agree with you on deleting soy and other GMO's out of our diets. Have you read the ingredients in Goldfish? Ugh! I make my own and my kids love them. Great pictures of your little princess!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to even read the ingredients. When I started eliminating soy and dairy from my diet I could NOT believe how many different foods contained soy! I went to the Olive Garden and looked at their allergen listing online first and literally almost every...single...item contained SOY! Everything at the Olive Garden is made with Soybean Oil instead of Olive Oil...how screwed up is that????
DeleteNicolette is just such a beautiful little girl. Precious pictures too! Deb Lewis (Friend of your parents)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! She's definitely stolen our hearts! :-)
